Create List Views based on Adaptive Search in Visualization Configuration Tool

The Adaptive Search-Based List View Visualization Type introduces a streamlined, customizable way for sales users to display key sales data. Sales managers can view up to 14 attributes simultaneously, eliminating the need for scrolling and ensuring critical information is always accessible at a glance. Administrators can configure the attributes or fields within the List View to match organizational or role-specific needs. This visualization type is fully compatible with Redwood Sales Dashboard’s in-app personalization, enabling users to include this component in their dashboards for actionable insights and quick decision-making.

Steps to Enable or Create a List View:

  1. Access the Visualization Configuration:

    • Only administrators have permission to create a tabular view using the Visualization Configuration.
    • Log in to the Visualization Configuration section of the system.
  2. Create a New Configuration:

    • Click on the Add New button to start creating a new configuration.
  3. Set the Source Type:

    • In the new configuration, select 'Source Type' as Adaptive Search.
    • Note: Adaptive Search is enabled only for Redwood or Digital Sales users.
  4. Select an Object:

    • Choose the relevant enabled/configured Object from which you want to create the tabular view.
  5. Select Visualization Type:

    • Under the Visualization Type dropdown, select List Chart as your visualization.
  6. Add Columns:

    • In the Columns section, start adding the columns you want to display in your List view.
    • Select the position of every column in the list view considering the reference.
  7. Enable Drill-Down for Columns (Optional):

    • If you want to enable drill-down functionality, click on the column name and, in the drawer panel, enable Drill-down by selecting the related object.
  8. Define Data Formats:

    • For specific column data types, you can configure the format:
      • For Email columns, select the Email format.
      • For Phone columns, select the Phone format.
  9. Enable Smart Actions (Optional):

    • If required, enable Actions to activate Smart Actions for the tabular view.
  10. Configure Drill-Down Columns:

    • Define the drill-down columns you want to display upon drill-down.
  11. Configure Drill-Downs and Smart Actions:

    • Configure the drill-down actions for the necessary columns and enable smart actions as needed.
  12. Activate the Report:

    • Change the status of the report to Active.
    • Save the report for it to appear in the In-app Personalization Library.
  13. Add the List View via VBCS (Optional):

    • If you need to add the component using VBCS, use the Visualization Configuration Fragment with the reference number of the visualization to add it to the sales dashboard.

By following these steps, sales administrators can create, configure, and activate a List View with ease, without requiring any additional code or separate templates.
