Summarize Forecast for Sales Managers

Sales Managers can see a brief summary of their forecast for the current and upcoming period to understand if they are on target or not on target.

In the Forecast Overview page, the sales manager can use the "Show Forecast Summary" action to generate a summary of the manager's forecast for the current and next period. This summary is based on the manager's quota, won revenue and open pipeline (sum of the adjusted best case or committed and the unforecasted / pipeline values) as well as a fixed win rate. This win rate may be customized for the implementation.

Narrative summary using generative AI gives manager a quick and easy way to see an overview of their forecast.

Steps to Enable

Make sure Use Generative AI in Sales is enabled. If not, follow the steps below

  1. Login as an Administrator and navigate to "My Enterprise"
  2. Click on Offerings
  3. Click on Sales offering
  4. Click on Opt-in features
  5. Click on Pencil icon next to Intelligence in Sales
  6. Click on Enable and then click on Done.
    • If Enable option is not enabled, make sure the check box for Intelligence in Sales in step 5 is enabled.

Enable use generative AI features in sales

Next under setup and Maintenance, under Sales 

  1. Click on Intelligence in Sales functional area.
  2. Click on Intelligence in Sales task
  3. Click on Configure Recommended Features
  4. Click on Enable Generate AI Features in CX Sales
  5. This will navigate to UI to enable/disable Generative AI features including the Sales Forecast Summary for Sales Managers,

Tips And Considerations

Currently only the win rate percent may be customized in the prompt. No additional customization is available at this time.

Access Requirements

This feature is available to sales managers who have the Manage Sales Forecast from Digital Sales (ZSF_MANAGE_DIGITAL_SALES_FORECAST) privilege and the View Sales Forecast from Digital Sales (ZSF_VIEW_DIGITAL_SALES_FORECAST) privilege.
