Enforcement of Partner User privilege for all PRM customers
Starting with release 26A, all PRM customers must explicitly add the "Identify Partner User" privilege (ZPM_PARTNER_USER_PRIV) to all roles assigned to partner users to ensure proper access control and user classification. The "Identify Partner User" privilege (ZPM_PARTNER_USER_PRIV) was first introduced in release 22C to help distinguish Fusion Partner Relationship Management users and included in the standard partner roles—Partner Sales Representative, Partner Sales Manager, and Partner Administrator. With the upcoming 26A release, it will now be required that all partner user roles—including custom and cloned roles—explicitly contain the "Identify Partner User" privilege. Any user without this privilege will not be able to access any standard page in CX Sales portal.
This change is being introduced to maintain robust access control and accurate user classification.
Steps to Enable and Configure
Sales Admin or IT Security Manager can assign the privilege to the user by navigating to Security Console, edit the role and assign the privilege to the role.
Tips And Considerations
If a partner user does not have the required "Identify Partner User" (ZPM_PARTNER_USER_PRIV) privilege, they will receive the following error message in the UI: "You must have the Identify Partner User (ZPM_PARTNER_USER_PRIV) permission to access and manage this data. Contact your sales application administrator."
Access Requirements
Affected users will not be able to access any pages or objects within the application until the privilege is added to their role.
