Perform search and filtering on Descriptive Flexfields using Adaptive Search

Descriptive Flexfields support in Oracle Sales enables full customization and fields interoperability for customers with Fusion front office (Sales) and back office (ERP) apps. You can now define descriptive flexfields in back office and access them in Sales. With this enhancement, you can also enable these flexfields in Adaptive Search and perform efficient search and filtering on them directly within Sales.

This capability improves data accessibility, empowers users to quickly locate and act on important business information. 

Steps to Enable and Configure

Descriptive flexfields are available in a child object under the objects that support flexfields. You can enable them in Adaptive Search just like any other child object field. 

Once enabled, you will have to run the Adaptive Search Publish job to make them available for searching and filtering.
