Smart Actions in Express Reports
Smart Actions for Drilldowns in Express Reporting allows sales users to perform smart actions directly from record-level views within their reports. As you explore visualizations and drill into the details, you can now take relevant smart actions without leaving the report view. For example, after spotting delayed deals or inactive accounts, you can instantly trigger actions such as sending a follow-up, updating a stage or assigning a task. This seamless experience brings analysis and action together, reducing context switching and improving productivity. To use this capability, ensure that smart actions are already configured for the respective object.
When building or editing an Express Report which has drillable fields, users can add an Actions column to include available Smart Actions for each record. Clicking this column within the report allows users to trigger smart actions based on the drilldowns configured.
If no drillable fields are included in the report, the Actions column will appear grayed out and cannot be added. To enable or add Smart Actions, ensure that the report includes at least one drillable field that supports actionable objects. For example, if a user includes Opportunity Name in a report, they will be able to add actions. This streamlines workflows and helps sales users close the loop right from within the reporting experience.
This feature offers the following business benefits:
-
Faster Follow-Through: Reduces the gap between insight and action, helping sales users respond in real time.
-
Streamlined Sales Execution: Allows users to immediately take corrective or follow-up actions, accelerating pipeline movement.
-
Minimized Workflow Disruptions: Keeps the entire workflow within the reporting interface, eliminating time spent navigating elsewhere.
