Sales Product Documents - is a Document type of (i.e. RAG) agent Tool shipped in Oracle AI Agent Studio.
Administrators can upload curated sales collaterals (sales catalog, product dependencies, price list, product datasheets, why buy, customer success stories etc. in PDF format), process the agent documents (i.e.vectorize) and make it ready to embed and work with Agent teams like Lead and Deal Advisor.
This tool when embedded tool in the Agent Team e.g. Deal Advisor, can retrieve, analyze and distill the product-related documents into clear, actionable insights using the prompts defined in the Agent description. These document resources are easily accessible to sales reps in the context of the deal i.e. Opportunity, enabling them to answer targeted questions and provide valuable insights during customer interactions. Using this tool Sales Reps can get actionable insights for personalized sales engagements – tailored product pitches, upsell and cross-sell recommendations, pricing comparison – and articulate value proposition through customer win stories.
This Document tools can be embedded seamlessly in Deal and Lead advisor agents, empowering administrators to upload product collateral like product and service offerings, product datasheets, price list, product dependencies, why-buys and even success stories. Steps to Enable and Configure
Sales Product Documents, Code:ORA_SALES_PRODUCT_DOCUMENTS - a Document type of (i.e. RAG) agent Tool shipped and available under Tools list in Oracle AI Agent Studio.
Steps
1. Administrators can Add and upload curated sales documents (e.g. sales catalog, product dependencies, price list, product datasheets, why buy, customer success stories etc.) in PDF format.
2. Provide a meaningful description for each document and set the status to "Ready for Publish" once the document is uploaded.
3. Navigate to Tools > Schedule Processes and run Process Agent Documents Job. This job processes i.e. vectorize and publishes documents for AI agents and make it ready to embed and work with Agent teams like Lead and Deal Advisor.
4. Once the document tool is ready you can embed the tool in any Agent Team. For example you can create a new agent team say DEAL_ADVISOR_V1 Agent by cloning the shipped 'Deal Advisor Agent Team' template, add the published document tool to the Agent, update the agent prompt details to include the SALES_PRODUCT_DOCUMENTS, Purpose: Search the document store for content relevant to user queries, especially content related sales and product insights, under AVAILABLE TOOLS.
5. Once the new Agent is published and ready, you can create a custom smart action ( e.g. Name:Deal Advisor; Object: Opportunity; Action Type: Agent team; Agent Team Code: DEAL_ADVISOR_V1) to enable Deal Advisor Conversational Agent in Opportunity for Sale Reps.
Tips And Considerations
The shipped RAG tool can be repurposed to address other documents. Please remember that when uploading documents for non-product use cases (e.g., sales plays or go-to-market strategies), include explicit instructions in the agent prompt to ensure the tool tailors its output accordingly.
