One of your ideas has been delivered from your suggestion.Anchor the Start of the Plan Horizon

You can now specify an earlier start date than the current system date for a sales and operations plan. When planning in aggregate time periods, such as a month, you can now review demand and supply for the full period during process stages, such as the Supply Review stage, that can occur near the middle of a monthly planning cycle.

In the Scope tab of plan options, specify a date in the new Anchor Date field that falls within the first time bucket and is prior to the current system date. If you need plan results for a different start date, then change the anchor date in the plan options and rerun the plan.

Tips And Considerations

  • You can also use the new Consider past due sales orders after netting the first time bucket advanced option to control how past due sales orders are netted in the first time bucket. With this plan option, net demand in the first bucket is calculated without considering past due sales orders, and then these orders are added to the calculated value.

  • If an anchor date is set in plan options, then this date is used to determine which sales orders are considered past due instead of the system date.

  • Past due sales orders are still reported in the first time bucket even when the new advanced option is selected.
