Selected Product Hub Bug Fixes in This Update

This update includes some bug fixes that can change the way Oracle Product Hub works. This isn't a full list of all the bug fixes in this update. This list includes the bug fixes that can cause a noticeable change in application behavior.

Restriction on Viewing Common Structures

Prior to this update, you were restricted from viewing a common structure in the context of the target organization even if you had privileges to view the structure in that organization. This is because the application would validate whether you had privileges to view the structure in the context of the master organization.

With this update, a new profile option (ORA_EGP_STR_ORG_CNTXT_PRIV_CHK) has been added. When you set this to Yes, the application validates your privileges based on the organization context. You can access the profile option using the Manage Administrator Profile Values task.

Error on Copying Affected Objects in Commercialization Changes

Before update 24B, if you opted in to the feature Retain Copied Data on Clipboard, you would get an error related to the character length of the organization code value while copying affected objects on commercialization change orders. This issue is now fixed.

Set Item Approval Status to Scheduled Using the Items Version 2 REST Resource

Before update 24B, you could create an item in Scheduled status using the Items Version 2 REST resource. After update 24B, you won't be able to set the approval status to Scheduled using this REST resource. If you want to continue to do this, then you must create a profile option code called EGP_ITEM_APPROVAL_STATUS_ALLOW and set it to YES.

Back-Tab Through the Page Containing Item Field Using Shift+Tab Keyboard Navigation

Before update 24B, when back-tabbing through a page using the Shift+Tab keys, the cursor would get stuck at the Item field. Due to this, if you were using accessibility devices, you couldn't navigate through a page that contains the Item field. After update 24B, you can use the Shift+Tab keys to navigate through a page that contains the Item field, and the cursor will no longer get stuck in the Item field.

Search and Add Protected Extensible Flex Field Attribute Groups to Item Classes or Categories

Before update 24B, to search and add protected extensible flexfield attribute groups to item classes or categories for healthcare and medical devices attribute groups, you had to first run the Upgrade Product Management Data scheduled process to make the attribute groups unprotected so that you could search and add the attribute groups to the required item classes. You then had to run the same scheduled process again to set the healthcare and medical devices extensible flexfield attribute groups back to protected. After update 24B, you can search and add any protected extensible flexfield attribute groups directly to item classes or categories without running the Upgrade Product Management Data scheduled process.
