Hide Response Line Attachments

Suppliers often attach additional documents or links when responding to lines in a negotiation. These attachments may contain item information, or price lists. But in sealed negotiations, or in negotiations that require distinct technical or commercial evaluation, disclosing pricing information to certain evaluators who are scoring-only team members isn't allowed.

You can now hide response line attachments from scoring only members that do not have price visibility.

After this feature is enabled, scoring only team members with no price visibility won't be able to view or download response line attachments from any UI pages where they can view response details. They also won't be able to download these attachments in Excel using Visual Builder add-in or using REST API.

Hiding response line attachments, which might include sensitive pricing information from scoring only members with no price visibility will lead to unbiased evaluation of requirement responses.

Steps to Enable

In the Setup and Maintenance work area, go to the Manage Administrator Profile Values setup task, and add profile values as follows:

• Use the Profile Option Code field to search for: ORA_PON_HIDE_RESP_LINE_ATTACHMENTS
• Add profile level: Site, and profile value: Yes
• Click Save and Close.

Access Requirements

Users who are assigned a configured job role that contains these privileges can access this feature:

• View Supplier Negotiation Response (ORA_PON_VIEW_SUPPLIER_NEGOTIATION_RESPONSE_PRIV)
• View Supplier Negotiation Response by REST Service (ORA_PON_VIEW_NEGOTIATION_RESPONSE_REST_SERVICE_PRIV)

These privileges were available prior to this update.
