Redwood: Search for, Create, and View Inspections in the Work Execution Work Area Using a New User Experience
Manufacturing users need an efficient way to access inspections and inspection results from the Work Execution work area. Production staff require real-time visibility of in-process and final inspections that affect production yield. They need to search and view inspection results in the context of work order operations, so they can take action to improve production quality for the shift. With a new Redwood user experience, production staff can quickly find and create inspection records with better productivity and faster page performance.
You can enable guided journeys to help the user perform this task by providing videos, images, and best practices.
Using a Redwood page, you can quickly create and view the inspections and inspection results from the Work Execution work area with a modern and responsive layout.

Steps to Enable
Follow these steps to enable or disable this feature:
- In the Setup and Maintenance work area, search for and select the Manage Administrator Profile Values task.
- On the Manage Administrator Profile Values page, search for and select the ORA_QA_INSPECTIONS_REDWOOD_ENABLED profile option code.
- In the Profile Values section, set the Site level to Y or N. The default value of the profile option is N.
- Y = enables the feature
- N = disables the feature
- Click Save and Close. Changes in the profile value will affect users the next time they sign in.
You'll have the option to enable or disable this feature from 24D update.
Tips And Considerations
- The Redwood user experience is disabled by default for searching, creating, and editing work order statuses based on the Redwood Inspections Enabled profile option.
- Redwood Inspection user experience is available only if inspection is initiated from the task menu in the Work Execution Overview page

- Edit Inspection Results (QA_EDIT_INSPECTION_RESULTS_PRIV)
- Guided Journeys : Role Codes
- Use REST Service - Guided Journeys Read Only (Role Code ORA_PER_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_GUIDED_JOURNEYS_RO)
- Use REST Service - Guided Journey Responses (Role Code ORA_PER_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_GUIDED_JOURNEY_RESPONSES)
These roles and privileges were available prior to this update.
