Redwood: Create and Edit Manufacturers Using an Updated User Interface

Use the updated Product Management Search: Manufacturer page to create manufacturers in a side panel that opens from the manufacturer search page. 

You can do the following:

• Enter flexfield values directly from the Create panel.
• Use separate editable sections for basic details, location, and attributes in the Edit page. 
• Preview attachments in the Attachments side panel.

Here’s how you can create manufacturers from the Product Management Search: Manufacturer page using a new side panel:

You can also edit the manufacturer data using the Edit icon available for each section:

Use a new preview action to preview manufacturer attachments.

Select the Attachment Preview Option

If there are multiple attachments, use the navigation arrows in the side panel to view each one.

This feature benefits your business by enabling you to create manufacturers and add or edit basic details, location, and extensible flexfields all from the same page. You'll see improved efficiency thanks to the speed of the Redwood interface and reduced navigation clicks. Additionally, the attachment preview eliminates the need to download attachments before you view them.

Steps to Enable

Use the Opt In UI to enable this feature. For instructions, refer to the Optional Uptake of New Features section of this document.

Tips And Considerations

• You must click the Save button after making edits to individual manufacturer sections.
• All extensible flexfields are included in the Create side panel.
• If you've already created trading partners without populating the Country field, you must recreate the trading partner in order to edit the Country field.
• Attachment preview supports images and common file types including PDF and Microsoft Office application file types (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
