Enforce User Resource Assignments During Work Order Operation Completion
The My Maintenance Work page allows you to manage a queue of work orders based on user assignments. Supervisors can pre-assign a work order or individual operation, or you can optionally assign or unassign yourself for a work order if your resource instance matches at least one operation resource. The assignments reflect not only at the work order level, but for each operation that has a resource match and resulting assignment.
Once assigned, you can preview, report, and complete the work order. Before this update, any user could complete an operation and work order, regardless of qualification or assignment.
With this update, you can optionally enable the capability for only assigned users to complete an operation. Before enabling this capability, you must ensure that each operation in a work order has a resource defined. A user must either be preassigned or can self-assign to each operation before they can complete it. Operations can have different resources defined, and more than one resource can be assigned to an operation. However, each assigned user must complete the operation before the next operation or the work order can be completed.
To enable this capability, you must set the asset maintenance parameter Enforce User Resource Assignments During Work Order Operation Completions to Yes. If set to No, the existing capability of any user being able to complete an operation applies.

Qualifications and assignments together ensure that work order operations are matched with the correct technicians based on the resource requirements.
Steps to Enable
To enable this feature, the Enforce User Resource Assignments During Work Order Operation Completions parameter must be set to Yes under Additional Parameters on the Manage Asset Maintenance Parameters page.
Tips And Considerations
Before you enforce resource assignments for work order completion, ensure that all work order operations have resource assignments. This ensures that the work order operations can be completed during work execution.
If operations do not have resource assignments, then they will not be available for completion. Therefore, care must be taken to test and understand this capability before enabling it.
