Automatically Create a Problem Report Based on the Inspection Results

Prior to this release, you could define an action rule to create a quality issue while defining an inspection plan, however, you couldn’t define a rule to create a problem report when you’ve implemented the Problem Report functionality.

With this feature, you can now define an inspection plan action rule to create a problem report while leveraging the Problem Report functionality. You will only see one of the two options depending on the object that you've implemented. When defining an inspection plan action rule, you must specify the severity of the problem report that will be created.

If you are using a previously defined inspection plan to perform an inspection, a problem report will still be created, even if the inspection plan action rules were originally defined to create a quality issue. You need not create new versions of the existing plan, as severity value is equivalent to the priority value defined in the original rule.

Also, with this release, problem reports can be automatically created based on the asset inspection results as well.
