Review Period Summary Before Period Close

To enhance your user experience as a Sustainability Controller, the following updates have been added to the Sustainability Periods page:

• New metrics for review before closing a period.
• Ability to drill down on a period name to review activities for the period.

The new metrics offer valuable insights, giving you a quick overview of the key data for the period before closing it. In addition, the drill-down feature lets you examine all the activities associated with the period you're about to close.

New Metrics for Review Before Closing a Period

The following metrics have been added to the Sustainability Periods page. These metrics provide a quick summary of the period that appears in the Target period to close section. Canceled activities are excluded from the summary.

• Total Activities
• Activities in Draft Status
• Total CO2e
• Scope 1 CO2e
• Scope 2 Location-Based CO2e
• Scope 2 Market-Based CO2e
• Scope 3 CO2e

Note: With this update, the Close Period button will be enabled only when the Activities in Draft Status metric appears as 0. The period-close process in Oracle Sustainability requires all draft activities to be either posted or deleted before a period can be closed.

Ability to Drill Down on the Period Name to Review Activities for the Period

You can drill down on the period name either from the period that appears in the Target period to close section or the Periods section. This drill down will navigate you to the Sustainability Activities page that displays all activities for the sustainability ledger and the period in context.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Access Requirements

Users who are assigned a configured job role that contains the following privilege can access this feature:

• Manage Sustainability Ledger Period (SUS_MANAGE_LEDGER_PERIODS_PRIV)
• View Sustainability Ledger Period (SUS_VIEW_LEDGER_PERIODS_PRIV)
