Redwood: Map Additional Item Entities Using Publication Maps

You can now use the Publication Maps Redwood experience to map the following additional item entities with spoke system item attributes:

• Item Revisions
• Item Structures
• Item and Revision Attachments 
• Style/SKUs
• Packs
• Related Item Relationships
• Spoke System Relationships
• Cross-Reference Relationships
• Customer Item Relationships
• Competitor Item Relationships
• Reference Org Associations

You can also map the respective flexfields for these entities.

The following screenshot shows the item structures entity mapped to a spoke system attribute.

You can select a map that includes the additional item entities and the data for these item entities will then be published in the specified format, either TXT or XML.

Also, you can publish the other publication entities such as trading partner items, catalogs, and item classes in CSV format as shown in the following screenshot.

This feature benefits your business by allowing the publication of your data to be more streamlined and efficient because you can now further prune the data that's sent to your spoke systems. Furthermore, choose from a more comprehensive list of item child entities when selecting what to publish. Ingesting systems can now receive a more focused subset of item data and the deltas based on the previous publication. 

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

• If a publication map is specified under Item Entities for a spoke system as shown in the following screenshot, the output file type of the publication map is considered as the publication output type for trading partner items, catalogs, and item classes selected for publication in the same spoke system. Else, the publication output type will be XML.

• If Item structures are mapped in a Publication map along with other item entities, two output files will be generated. One file contains the publication output for structures and another file contains the publication output for other item entities mapped.

• Publish Item Class (EGI_PUBLISH_ITEMCLASS_PRIV)
• View Trading Partner Item (EGP_VIEW_TRANDING_PARTNER_ITEM_PRIV)
