Redwood: Manage Pick Wave Release Rules Using a Redwood Page
Pick wave release rules define the criteria to select order lines for pick release and how they need to be processed. You can now manage your pick wave release rules using a Redwood page. You can also predefine criteria for creating a pick wave. Once set up, the pick wave rule can be used on the New Pick Wave page and the Schedule Pick Wave scheduled process.
You can access the Pick Wave Release Rules task from the Setup and Maintenance work area.
Using the new Pick Wave Release Rules page, you can:
- Search for and view pick wave release rules.
- Create new pick wave release rules that allow you to define demand selection criteria, fulfillment options, and processing options.
- Update or delete existing pick wave release rules.
Pick Wave Release Rules
You can specify the following in the new release sequence rule:
- Demand selection criteria such as shipping organization, order details, order dates, item details, and shipment details.
- Processing criteria such as release sequence rule, pick slip grouping rule, ship confirm rule, document job set, and if the shipment should be automatically packed.
- The fulfillment criteria such as pick-from subinventory and staging subinventory.

Tips And Considerations
In the Setup and Maintenance work area, the Redwood version of the Pick Wave Release Rules page is enabled by default in this update, but the existing version of the Manage Pick Wave Release Rules page is still available in the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Materials Management offering. You should move to the Redwood version of the page at your earliest convenience, because the existing version of the page will be removed from the application in a future update.
