Redwood: Manage Shipping Document Output Preferences Using a Redwood Page

Shipping document output preferences provide you the ability to automate the delivery of shipping documents by setting output preferences and the delivery mechanism for the documents. You can now manage your shipping document output preferences using a Redwood page.

You can access the Shipping Document Output Preferences task from the Setup and Maintenance work area.

Using the new Shipping Document Output Preferences page, you can:

  • Search for and view shipping document output preferences.
  • Create shipping document output preferences that allow you to define options such as email, fax, and printer.
  • Update or delete existing shipping document output preferences.

You can define output preferences either at the job set level or at the job level and set it up to add documents to the shipment as attachments.

You can configure output preferences based on user, job role, organization, and subinventory.

NOTE: You can set up output preferences for inventory documents using the Inventory Document Output Preferences task.

This feature allows you to manage your shipping document output preference more efficiently with an improved user experience.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

In the Setup and Maintenance work area, the Redwood version of the  Shipping Document Output Preferences page is enabled by default in this update, but the existing version of the Manage Shipping Document Output Preferences page is still available in the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Materials Management offering. You should move to the Redwood version of the page at your earliest convenience, because the existing version of the page will be removed from the application in a future update.

Access Requirements

Users who are assigned a configured job role that contains these duty roles can access this feature:

  • Shipping Administration (ORA_WSH_SHIPPING_ADMINISTRATION_DUTY)
  • Inventory Administration (ORA_INV_INVENTORY_ADMINISTRATION_DUTY)

These duty roles were available prior to this update.
