Redwood: Create and Edit Item Cost Profiles Using a New User Experience
You can assign, update, and delete cost profiles to items at cost organization and cost book level by using item cost profiles. You can modify or delete a cost profile assignment at any time before transactions have been processed. You can't change the cost profile of an item after transactions are processed for the item. Item cost profiles can have three possible creation sources:
- Automatic: Item cost profiles are automatically created using a default cost profile.
- Manual: Item cost profiles are manually created using the Item Cost Profiles page.
- Override: Item cost profiles are automatically created using default cost profiles and later updated from the Item Cost Profiles page.
You can now create, modify, delete and search for item cost profiles using the Redwood pages. You can verify the existing item cost profiles and also download the information into a spreadsheet for offline analysis and collaboration. You can manage the item cost profiles only for the cost organizations that you've access to.
Search, Update and Delete Item Cost Profiles
On the Item Cost Profiles page, by default, you can view the manually created item cost profiles, which are sorted by cost organization, cost book, and item. You can further filter the records using:
- Item
- Cost Organization
- Cost Book
- Creation Source
- Asset Cost Profile
- Expense Cost Profile
- Consigned Cost Profile
You can also view the details of the asset, expense, and consigned cost profiles by clicking the links in the respective columns. Additionally, you will also be able to view Asset UOM, Consigned UOM and Expense UOM in the Redwood page. You can also modify and delete any exiting item cost profile.
