Record Additional Fiscal Attributes in Compliance with the Latest Tax Regime

Brazil is shifting towards a new tax regime with the implementation of a dual VAT system, comprising the CBS (Contribution on Goods and Services) at the federal level, and the IBS (Goods and Services Tax) for states and municipalities. The general transition, beginning in 2026 and concluding in 2033, will gradually phase out existing consumption taxes and fully implement the new tax model. As the XML format for the inbound fiscal documents has undergone change to capture some additional fiscal attributes to support the transition and ensure  proper compliance. Importing electronic XML files into Fiscal Document Capture is now enhanced to read these new attributes available in XML and continue processing the electronic fiscal documents seamlessly.

XML with the below additional fiscal attributes will be considered for import now.

  • IBS ans CBS - Tributary Classification
  • Unique Document identifier
  • Interest indicator
  • Access Key of the referenced Dfe (or Nfe)
  • Referenced document line number

This feature facilitates seamless automation and ensures that new XML formats for inbound fiscal documents are read and processed without any issues.
