Redwood: Capture Receipt Notes on the Receipt Header in Self-Service Receiving

When you receive goods ordered using the self-service receiving, sometimes, the as a requester, you need to capture notes applicable to all lines on the receipt. These notes are essential for the procurement and finance teams to reference during invoice processing.

Previously, you could only input notes for individual lines, making it challenging for others to notice and examine these notes when reviewing from the purchase order lifecycle page. With this update, you can now efficiently capture general notes for the entire order when you create a receipt in self-service receiving. Additionally, an icon is displayed next to the receipt number on the purchase order lifecycle page to alert the procurement and finance personnel about the availability of notes they can refer.

When you create a receipt, after you provide all the required line-level details, click Create Receipt.

A Receipt details drawer appears, where you can enter header-level receipt notes. After you add notes, click Submit to complete the receipt.

This feature ensures better communication and simplifies the review process for annotating notes against receipts in self-service receiving.

Steps to Enable

Leverage the Visual Builder Studio to expose your applications. To learn more about extending your application using Visual Builder, visit Oracle Help Center > your apps service area of interest > Books > Configuration and Extension.

In VB Studio, under the Page Properties section, update the Show Receipt Details Drawer to true to enable the receipt details drawer.

Access Requirements

Users who are assigned a configured job role that contains these privileges can access this feature:

• Manage Receipt for Advanced Receiver with the Responsive Self Service Receiving Application (RCV_MANAGE_RECEIPT_ADVANCED_RECEIVER_PWA_PRIV)
• Create Receipt for Procurement Preparer with the Responsive Self Service Receiving Application (RCV_CREATE_RECEIPT_PROCUREMENT_PREPARER_PWA_PRIV)
• Create Receipt with the Responsive Self Service Receiving Application (RCV_CREATE_RECEIPT_WITH_PWA_PRIV)
