Use Direct Integrations Between Supply Chain Orchestration and Inventory
Use a direct integration between Oracle Supply Chain Orchestration and Oracle Inventory Management to improve performance. Use the integration to create and manage reservations in your back-to-back flow.
Realize these benefits:
- Improve performance and responsiveness. Use a direct integration to reduce latency and processing time for transactions that include a reservation. Realize faster order fulfillment and improve throughput.
- Get comprehensive notifications. Instantly communicate critical reservation updates and exceptions from Inventory to Supply Chain Orchestration so you can maintain consistency between these applications.
- Improve reliability. Realize more stable handling for operations that create, update, and cancel each reservation in your back-to-back flow. Minimize failure and reprocessing requirements.
- Simplify integration. Remove dependency on using business events. Simplify maintenance and reduce integration overhead.
Supply Chain Orchestration can now automatically receive notifications from Inventory through a direct integration when Inventory creates, updates, or cancels a reservation. You no longer have to use a business event to get these notifications.
Inventory can now also send a notification through the direct integration to Supply Chain Orchestration when you manually create a reservation on a sales order outside of your back-to-back flow.
