Create LPN Reports Using the License Plate Number Real Time Subject Area in OTBI

License Plate Number (LPN) is a unique identifier assigned to a pallet, bin, or container of goods to track inventory and manage the movement of goods within a warehouse. Using License Plate Number Real Time Subject Area in Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), you can now create personalized reports on your LPNs and the contents within LPNs to quickly review and analyze data pertaining to your documents, transactions, and all other relevant information in the application.

Add LPN Attributes

To enable reporting and analysis of the LPN information across inventory, receiving, and shipping processes, LPN-related measures and dimensions are now available in OTBI. Using these enhancements, you can create self-service reports to analyze inventory functions and transactions using the LPN characteristics such as status, hierarchy, and reusability.

The following LPN-related measures and dimensions are now available under existing subject areas and levels:

  • Count of LPN
  • LPN Reusability
  • LPN Status
  • Outer LPN
  • Parent LPN
  • Packing Unit

To enable LPN details in OTBI reports, the above mentioned measure and dimension have been introduced in the following subject areas:

  • Inventory - Inventory Balance Real Time 
  • Inventory - Inventory Transactions Real Time
  • Receiving - In Transit Advanced Shipment Notifications Real Time
  • Receiving - In Transit Interorganization Inventory Transfers Real Time
  • Receiving - In Transit Shipment Real Time
  • Receiving - Interorganization Receipts Real Time
  • Receiving - Purchase Receipts Real Time
  • Receiving - Receipts Real Time
  • Receiving - Transactions Real Time
  • Shipping Real Time

The addition of LPN–related attributes and measures to these Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence subject areas enable self-service analysis of inventory balances and transactions by LPN structure, status, and usage.

This feature provides you with the ability to create personalized reports for your LPNs, allowing you to efficiently review and analyze the data to make informed business decisions.

Steps to enable and configure

Leverage new subject area(s) by adding to existing reports or using in new reports. For details about creating and editing reports, see the Creating and Administering Analytics and Reports book (available from the Oracle Help Center > your apps service area of interest > Books > Administration).
