Steps to enable and configure
Use the Opt In UI to enable this feature. For instructions, refer to the Optional Uptake of New Features section of this document.
Offering: Order Management
- If you have already implemented Customer Programs, then you don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
- If you haven’t implemented Customer Channel Programs, then refer to the Roadmap for Setting up Customer Channel Programs chapter in the Implementing Channel Revenue Management guide.
- Setup the customer groups in the Pricing application. Refer to Redwood: Set Up Customer Pricing for setup details.
- Create a new program type and add the Customer Group qualifier to it. In a future release, we will allow you to add qualifiers to active program types.
Tips and considerations
- The account number in the Customer Group maps to the customer's bill-to account on the sales order's header.
- The registry ID in the Customer Group maps to the registry ID of the sold-to customer on the sales order's header.
- The customer's inclusion in the customer group doesn't have date effectivity.
- If the customer group is defined for a specific customer account and the sold-to customer is not the same as the bill-to customer on the sales order header, then the customer group will not apply.
