Compare and Combine Word Rule Document Changes

Word rule authors now have a more fine-grained way to review and combine changes between development versions. Utilizing the Combine Documents feature available in Word with Policy Modeling, authors can compare  a Word rule document in a Policy Modeling project with versions from a Hub branch (for example, with baseline and latest) to see what the differences are.

This can be useful to:

  • Focus on changes of interest in the Hub project since the last download to the local project was performed
  • Simplify the merging of bug fixes, policy changes and other updates that happen simultaneously in related development streams

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

When all revisions have been reviewed, the combined document including revisions can be saved over the original rule document.
