Chat in Browser UI: Default Setting & On-Demand Enablement for Chat Language Translation
Admins can now choose whether the Chat Language Translation feature is on or off by default for agents. Agents have the flexibility to turn on real-time translation during live chats whenever it’s needed. This gives teams greater control and a smoother multilingual support experience.

Steps to Enable
System Requirements
- An AI Service to provide the language translation functionality
- Engagement Panel v19+ is required for this feature. Please contact Jessica Bradley <jessica.bradley@oracle.com> to have your site updated
- External Objects is enabled for your site
- Versioning Service is enabled for your site
- The Chat Language Translation feature is enabled for your site, interface and the related agent profile
- This feature does not require a CX upgrade
- This feature does not require a feature flag
- This feature is available in the BUI OCT I release, available on non-production sites September 19, 2025 and on production sites October 03, 2025
