Projects Portal - Project 360 Tab
Project 360 serves as a centralized hub that brings together key information about a specific project. It enables you to review project status, actions, cost and scheduling insights, project hierarchy, and ongoing work. The tab includes the following zones:
- Project: This zone displays essential project details, such as the description, project manager, status, budget, and start and end dates. It also shows a list of attachments related to the project. If any project activities are accessible in the Map Viewer, a View in Map button is available.
- Hierarchy: This zone shows a tree structure representing the hierarchy of the current project. The view automatically includes all levels from the top-level project down to the current project. If there are 50 or fewer child projects, they appear automatically; additional projects in the hierarchy can be viewed by manually expanding each project.
- Cost and Scheduling: This zone presents a graphical view comparing actual costs for the current project and its sub-projects to the project’s budget. It also features a second graph illustrating the project’s duration, including start and end dates, and how these dates compare to the estimated completion date.
- Cost by Category: This zone provides a breakdown of both estimated and actual costs for the current project and its sub-projects, organized by cost category.
- Reference Summary: This zone displays a graph showing the number of objects referencing the current project and its sub-projects. References are grouped into three categories (Initial, Active, and Final) based on their business object lifecycle stages. Reference Objects include:
- Activities (Work Activities and Construction Work Activities)
- Other Direct Charges
- Permits
- Purchase Orders
- Purchase Requisitions
- Timesheets
- Work Designs
- Work Orders (including Construction Work Orders)
- Reference Details: This zone lists the specific objects that reference the current project and its sub-projects. Up to eight records are shown at a time, with pagination available to view additional records.
The Project 360 tab is the default tab for a project once it is selected. However, administrators can override this configuration and set the Main tab as the default instead. This override can be configured system-wide or at the individual user level. When determining which tab to display by default, the system first checks for a user-specific override, and if none is found, it then checks the system-wide override.
This provides a comprehensive overview of project information, enabling you to quickly assess the current project status, make timely decisions, and manage your projects more efficiently.
