Insight Action Security Configuration

You can use an insight action to navigate to another page, to launch a BPA script to perform some user interaction, or to invoke an algorithm to perform some action. Previously, it was the responsibility of the insight algorithm that returns the actions to check a user's access to the actions.

The system has been enhanced so that now the system can check security based on configuration, eliminating the need for the insight algorithm to perform explicit security checks.

• If the insight action performs navigation or launches a BPA, the action is suppressed if the user does not have access to the underlying application service/access mode related to the navigation or the BPA.
• In addition, the insight action collection now includes an optional Application Service/access mode. If an action is configured with this information, the user does not see the action if they do not have access to this application service/access mode.

Validating security from the action-button configuration simplifies how the insight algorithm returns action information.
