Customer Profiles

You can create and manage customer profiles at the account level using configurable Customer Profile Types and Customer Profile Attribute Types to capture customer insights.  Customer Profile Types define the profiles that can be maintained and the attributes that apply to each profile. Customer Profile Attributes support single or multiple values and can optionally be associated with related objects, such as service agreements, to capture insights for specific entities while remaining part of the account-level profile. 

Customer profiles can be maintained through configurable business flag processing using information received from external sources, while also supporting manual maintenance when needed.  The Customer Profile Business Flag Upload (C1-CPRUP) background process includes a base product-owned file upload algorithm for the supported file format.  To support a different file format, you can configure a custom file upload algorithm with the base product-owned batch control or create a custom batch control for alternative upload processing.

This configurable approach enables base product-owned and implementation-specific customer profile solutions to support a wide range of business scenarios.

Note:

 During account obfuscation, the updated Account Obfuscation (C1-ACCTOBFS) algorithm type automatically deletes Customer Profile records associated with the account.

This feature provides a flexible foundation for capturing customer insights that support personalized customer engagement, targeted programs, and informed business decisions.

Steps to enable and configure

To enable and configure this feature, refer to the Understanding Customer Profiles section of the Administrative User Guide for more information.

 Additionally, system administrators should review and determine which user groups should be granted access to one or more of these application services:
