Bidirectional File Exchange through Oracle Cloud Storage

Oracle Utilities Cloud Services can now exchange files bidirectionally with Opower Cloud Services and Energy and Water Cloud Services through an Oracle Utilities Cloud Service-managed Object Storage bucket. Previously, Oracle Utilities Cloud Services could write to the service-managed bucket, but they could not retrieve files from it. Integrations that returned data required a customer-owned Object Storage bucket and direct credential exchange between services. This enhancement removes that dependency.

This enables secure bidirectional file exchange between Oracle Utilities Cloud Services without using customer-owned Object Storage buckets or directly exchanging credentials.

Tips and considerations

Only base delivered use cases can take advantage of this capability. Custom batch use cases are restricted from writing to or reading from an Oracle Utilities Cloud Service-managed Object Storage bucket.
