To Do Types Delivered for Batch Errors for Several Monitor Batches
When possible, the product delivers To Do Types to allow for creating To Do entries for each record error reported by the batch, rather than only writing the error to the batch run tree. It was found that several monitor batch processes delivered previously did not have an associated 'error' To Do Type.
The following monitor batch processes now have related To Do Types to use for errors:
- F1-MGOPB - Migration Object Monitor (Business) Errors
- F1-MIMMN - Inbound Market Message Monitor Errors
- F1-MKMSO - Outbound Market Message Monitor Errors
- F1-MKPRP - Market Process Monitor Errors
- F1-MPEVR - Market Process Event Monitor Errors
- F1-STATS - Statistics Control Monitor Errors
- F1-SYSRQ - Sync Request Monitor (Deferred) Errors
- F1SUBRQN - Request Monitor (Deferred No Cache) Errors
Note that for backward compatibility upgrading clients need to opt in to using To Do entries for existing batches.
The ability to create To Do entries in these cases allows you to take advantage of the standard To Do functionality, such as prioritization, assigning users to do the investigation, and capturing comments or logs.
Steps to enable and configure
For upgrading clients, the To Do Types are delivered without the associated 'creation batch control' populated. Then means that when running any of the listed batch processes, individual record errors are still reported to the batch run tree only.
If you want To Do entries created for each error instead, complete these steps:
- Navigate to the To Do Type that has the same code as the batch control that you wish to enable for creating To Do entries. The descirption should match the batch control description with the word 'Errors' at the end.
- Edit the To Do Type and set the Creation Batch field to the related Batch Control.
- Be sure to configure appropriate To Do Roles according to your business practice.
