Default View Details Drawer for an Entity

When a list of entities are presented, a link to the entity's page is typically available allowing the user to navigate to that page for reviewing more information and navigate back to review the next entity. With the introduction of "view details" drawers in the previous release, this type of user interaction can be improved by launching a summary drawer for the entity instead of navigating to its page. The user can proceed with navigation to the entity page if they need further information. 

This release supports the association of an entity with a default view details drawer zone via a View Entity Drawer maintenance or business object option.

There is no change to system wide navigation to entity pages. Specific UI lists now use the new navigation approach, which opens an entity’s default drawer, when available, instead of navigating to the entity page.

To support this functionality, the ability of launching a view details zone in a drawer no longer requires that zone to be defined as an explicit panel on the portal it is launched from. You may design to launch a view details zone either as a panel name or as a standalone zone. 

Providing a quick view of an entity's details as a drawer eliminates the need to navigate to another page and back, which improves the user experience.
