Menu Description Requirement

When defining a menu, you are now required to provide a description.

Ensuring that there is a description on the menu allows the system to provide the standard query tools for searching for and displaying a menu where the description is part of the results.

Steps to enable and configure

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips and considerations

An upgrade script is provided to populate the Description field if it is not populated. The script first looks to see if there is text populated in the LABEL_LONG field, which is no longer used but may have relevant text from older releases, and uses that if it is available. If it is not available, the description is populated with the Menu Name field.
