Warning When no HTTP Time Out is Configured for a Message Sender

When configuring a Message Sender with one of the following message classes, RTHTTPSNDR, RTJSONSNDR, SOAPSNDR, or HTTPSNDR, a warning is issued if no value is set for the HTTP Time Out context type.

Setting a reasonable time out limit ensures that you will not wait a long time for a response if there is any issue connecting to the third party.

Steps to enable and configure

To configure this feature, complete these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Message Sender.
  2. Find any senders that use one of the following classes: RTHTTPSNDR, RTJSONSNDR, SOAPSNDR, HTTPSNDR.
  3. Confirm that the HTTP Time Out context is configured and that the value has a reasonable number of seconds that a user should wait before timing out.
