Automated Monthly Database Partitions

Oracle automatically adds partition for entities, every month, on desired domains and schemas.You are no longer required to run the Add Partition batch every month.

This manages the overall application performance, saves storage costs for customers with partitions created on time, and moves desired data to less costly partitions.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

• If you currently use the Add Partition Batch Job, remove it from you existing stream definitions.

• For Oracle Meter Solution Cloud Sevice-specific Measurement MO, adding a partition for Measurement will add a partition only for the primary table and not for child tables, as there is no reference partition setup.
