The following REST services provide support for storeroom and stock item detail synchronization within the Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Cloud Service-Supply Chain Management integration:

  • Manage Storeroom: Creates or updates storerooms
  • Manage Stock Item Detail: Creates or updates stock item detail records
  • Add Inventory Adjustment: Creates stock transactions for a stock item detail with adjusted quantity or average unit price

In this integration, the supply chain management owns purchasing and inventory, as well as storeroom and stock item detail records with corresponding external IDs. Updates to storeroom and stock item detail records are initiated in the supply chain management to preserve data integrity as manual updates or adjustments are not allowed in Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Cloud Service.

This allows synchronization of inventory details, such as inventory quantity and unit price, between applications.

Steps to Enable

To enable this feature, complete these steps:

  1. Navigate to the ERP Integration Master Config.
  2. Go to the Supply Chain Management Configuration section.
  3. Populate the Storeroom Information section.
  4. Select Standard in the Category drop-down list and its corresponding storeroom type.
  5. Populate the Stock Item Detail Information section.
  6. Select Inventory in the Stock Item Detail Class drop-down list and its corresponding SID Inventory business object.
  7. Populate the Accounting Information section with the cost centers and expense codes to be used in the stock item detail record.
  8. Navigate to Add ERP Integration.
  9. Add entries for the Stock Item Detail, Stock Transaction, and Material Issue Line maintenance objects.
  10. Set the owning system of the maintenance object entries to Enterprise Resource Planning.

Tips And Considerations

  • In this release, a new access mode (Allow External ID Update) has been added to the WAM Node application service. Users with the Allow External ID Update access will be able to update the storeroom External ID.
  • With the Oracle Utilities Work and Asset - SCM integration, storeroom records with an External ID are owned by SCM. The External ID corresponds to the unique identifier of the record in SCM. To protect the External ID from updates, you can remove user access from the Allow External ID Update access mode.

Access Requirements

System administrators should grant "Allow External ID Update" access to the appropriate user group(s) in the "WAM Mode" application service, enabling users to update storeroom External IDs.
