What's New Portal
In this release a new portal has been provided that includes a What's New zone that displays a list of application fixes applied as part of a given maintenance pack. You launch this portal using an entry in the Help dropd-own found in the toolbar.
The following points highlight features of the zone:
- The zone includes a link to the Release Notes related to the new features for the current version of your product.
- The list of patches defaults to showing patches added in the current maintenance pack that your environment is on.
- If a patch indicates that it is a copy, then it will not appear by default if the zone detects that your implementation previously received this patch in a different version.
- Zone filters may be used to expand the results to include patches from previous maintenance packs and / or to include copies that you had already received.
- Zone filters may be used to narrow the results based on a category or a date range or by the fix description.
- A zone header link "View Installation Summary" opens a second zone that show a list of maintenance packs and the date they were applied to the current environment.
NOTES:
-
The Release Notes link previously visible in the Help drop-down in the toolbar has been removed from that location. Now, navigate to the What's New portal and launch the Release Notes link from there.
-
Although the portal is provided in this release, the population of the data is still being tested. In your environment, the portal may exist without any content. Once the functionality is fully released, you will see content in this zone.
-
Once the functionality to populate the patch details is live, only patches applied after that point are provided. The system is not populating this zone with fixes applied to your implementation prior to the enhancement.
The list of patches applied via a maintenance pack helps your implementation understand what recent fixes may require attention.
