Weather Data Integration
You can now integrate a third-party weather service with Customer Experience for Utilities Agent Service to show weather data as an overlay to the Usage Chart in the Customer Dashboard. The utility must provide weather data in a format that can be consumed by the Customer Experience for Utilities Agent Service interface. Once the integration is in place, agents can hover over weather data points in the Usage chart to view minimum, maximum, and average temperature for a selected time period.
By providing weather data directly in the usage charts, agents have context about how weather changes might have impacted a customer's usage. Knowing what the weather was can help agents determine why an account might have had a higher than normal bill, and help them answer customer billing inquiries.
