View Survey Results

To view responses for a survey, navigate to the Surveys page, select the row for the survey, and select Actions > View Responses. To do so, you must be one of the following:

  • Authorized directly as the owner, editor, or viewer of a survey, either individually or as a member of a user assignment group.

  • Authorized as an individual to be owner, editor, or viewer of an assessment batch that includes a survey. Assessment-batch security assignments to individual users are copied automatically to the survey associated with each assessment record in the batch. (Assignments of user groups to the batch, however, aren't copied to its surveys.)

The View Responses page offers both summary and detailed results:

  • Click the Summary tab to view the status of the survey and collective responses to its questions. Status includes its state, start and end dates, and the number of participants who have responded and are yet to respond. In a list of survey questions, click on each question to view the responses to it by all participants. For example, for a single-response question with a yes-or-no choice set, results would show the number of participants who answered yes, the number who answered no, and the total.

  • Click the Details tab to view individual responses by participants. In a list of participants, click a participant's name. Then click each question to view that participant's response to the question.

If you're an owner, you can send an email message that prompts participants to respond to the survey. This feature is active regardless of whether email notifications are activated in the Setup and Administration work area.

  1. In the Surveys page, select the record of the survey.

  2. Select Actions > Send Email Reminder.

  3. A Send Email Reminder page displays default subject and body text for a message that's to be sent only to participants who haven't yet responded. Use the text as is or edit it if you want.

  4. Click Submit to send the message.
