Cancel or Purge Jobs
You can cancel any job you've run or scheduled. Generally, you can't cancel other users' jobs, but there are exceptions: Anyone can cancel a job to synchronize transaction data, analyze models, or analyze controls, no matter who ran the job.
There's a special case: If you're assigned the ESS Administrator role, you can cancel any job run by anyone.
You can also purge job records. To complete either a cancellation or a purge:
-
In the Monitor Jobs page, select the checkboxes in the rows for any number of jobs you want to cancel or purge.
-
Click the Cancel button or the Purge button. However, each button is active only if all the jobs you select are at a status appropriate for the action you're taking: Queued or Started for the cancel action, or Completed, Failed, or Canceled for the purge action.
-
Respond to a message that asks you to confirm the cancellation or purge.
When you cancel a job, its status changes first to Cancel Requested, and then to Canceled when the application completes the operation. When you purge a job, its record disappears from the Monitor Jobs page.
