Request

Header Parameters
  • If the REST API supports runtime customizations, the shape of the service may change during runtime. The REST client may isolate itself from these changes or choose to interact with the latest version of the API by specifying this header. For example: Metadata-Context:sandbox="TrackEmployeeFeature".
  • The protocol version between a REST client and service. If the client does not specify this header in the request the server will pick a default version for the API.
  • Contains one of the following values: true or false. If true, the server performs an Upsert operation instead of a Create operation. During an Upsert operation, the server attempts to find an existing resource that matches the payload. If a match is found, the server updates the existing resource instead of creating a new one. If not found or false (default), the server performs a Create operation. Note that the Upsert operation isn't supported for date-effective REST resources.

  • The domain portion of the email address provided.
  • The time taken to validate the email, in seconds. The maximum timeout is enforced at 15 seconds. A high timeout value of at least 15 seconds is recommended as it will minimize the number of Timeout responses returned.
  • The email address that was verified.
  • Indicates whether the verification service is enabled.
  • The unique identifier of the verified data.
  • Indicates whether the email address is recognized against known lists of complainers or if it has been used to defraud.
  • Indicates whether the email address provided is a temporary mailbox. Some organizations create temporary mailboxes which shouldn't be used for marketing communications.
  • The response code such as Valid, Valid_CatchAll, Invalid, and Timeout.
  • A textual description of the response code returned. For example, Valid means that the email address has been fully validated including the account portion, Valid_CatchAll means that the domain has been validated but the account could not be validated, Invalid means that the email address is invalid and shouldn't be accepted, and Timeout means that the validation could not be completed within the timeout specified. If you receive Timeout as the response code, then increase the timeout value.
