Copy a Compensation Plan for the New Year

It's recommended to create new plans for a new year instead of extending the prior year plan. Copy your current plans for the new year.

You can also copy plans within the same year which are similar in structure but have minor differences like rate tables.

To copy a plan, export a prior year plan and import it using the import option to add a prefix or suffix, or use the Replace option to change a string during import. The Replace option changes the string everywhere, including all child objects of the plan.

For example, export the US Sales plan that contains US plan components A and B. Import and select Replace US With Europe. The plan imports as the Europe Sales plan with Europe plan components A and B. Use the Start Date and End Date import option for the new dates.
