Can I change the layout of my enterprise contract report?
Yes. Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) Cloud Connector extracts BI data from enterprise contracts. For example, you can create reports from contract objects such as Contracts, Contract Approval History, Contract Parties, Contract Risks, Contract Lines and so on. Enterprise Contracts provide many predefined templates that contain data model, layout and property components that you can change to suit your business requirements.
Let's say you want to add a new field to a data model used by a report. You can add the new field to a layout for the report. Or using an existing predefined layout template, you can design a new layout template that provides less detail than the existing template. There's a Customize option that automatically creates a copy of a predefined report and stores it in the area within the business intelligence (BI) catalog. The copy includes the report definition, folder structure, and original report permissions, and is linked internally to the original, so that when you open or schedule the original, you're actually using the copied version.
To access the Customize option:
-
Sign in to the BI server (for example,
http://hostname.com:7001/xmlpserver
). -
In the Folders pane, select the predefined report.
-
Select Customize from the More menu for the report.
-
The copied report in the Custom folder opens, so proceed to edit this report.
To edit the copied report again later, you don't need to be in the BI server. Just go to the BI catalog and either:
-
Select the Customize option for the original report.
-
Find your report in the Custom folder and select Edit.
When a contract is sent for approval, all approvers receive a standardized workflow and email notification. You can now configure the notifications to meet your specific business needs and requirements through the Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP) .RTF-based contract approval notification template or subtemplate. See the How do I configure contract approval notifications? solution playbook for information about how to change your contact approval notifications.
