How can I fix an incorrect product or product group error when converting leads?

The lead to opportunity conversion process uses the predefined Copy Lead To Opportunity Map copy map feature which is declarative way to specify which fields are copied among objects. If you receive a MOO-450064 error prompting you to enter either a product or product group for the lead you want to convert, this indicates that the Copy Lead To Opportunity Map mapping file is missing the ProdGroupId attribute.

Follow these steps to resolve the issue.
  1. Sign in as a user with Application Composer access and verify that you've an active sandbox.

  2. Access Application Composer from Navigator > Configuration > Application Composer.

  3. From the Advanced Setup, select Copy Maps. The Copy Maps window appears.

  4. Select the Copy Lead To Opportunity Map. The Edit Copy Map window appears.

  5. In the Entity Mappings region, highlight the row that contains From: Opportunity and To: Opportunity Revenue.

  6. In the Attribute Mappings region, select the Add icon to add a new row.

  7. From the To: drop-down list, select ProdGroupId and From: drop-down list, select ProdGroupId .

  8. Click Save and Close.
