How do I change the name of the Microsoft 365 add-in?

You can change the display name of the add-in in Application Composer. This value is the name of the add-in that users see in Outlook. But, remember, if you do, you'll need to re-download the manifest file and re-deploy the add-in to ensure that the new configurations are applied.

Important: If you change the add-in Display Name, Application (client) ID, Directory (tenant) ID, or the Primary Microsoft Domain, then you need to re-download the manifest file and re-deploy the add-in to ensure that the new configurations are applied. And, it might take some time to process the redeployment. See: Deploy the Add-In in Microsoft.

Here's how to change the display name for the add-in:

  1. Sign in to the Sales application as a setup user.
  2. Navigate to Configuration > Application Composer.
  3. Navigate to Productivity Applications Configuration > Oracle Sales for Outlook.
  4. In the Add-In Registration page, change the Display Name.
  5. Save your changes.
