How do I check for duplicate partners?

In Oracle Sales PRM, you can check for duplicate partners while creating a new partner.

Ensure that the profile option ZCM_ACC_DUP_NOTIFICATION is set to True to enable checking for duplicate records. For instructions, see Enable Checking of Duplicate Records.

Here are the steps that you can follow to check duplicate partner records:

  1. Navigate to Redwood Sales > Partners.
  2. Click Create Partner.

    The Create Partner dialog box appears.

  3. Add details to the relevant fields, and click Create.

A message appears in the Create Partner dialog box if any similar partners exist in the record.

Enable Checking of Duplicate Records

You can follow these steps to enable checking of duplicate records:

  1. Go to Settings and Actions > Setup and Maintenance > Setup > Sales.
  2. In Functional Areas, select Sales Foundation > Manage Administrator Profile Values task.
  3. In Profile Option Code enter ZCM_ACC_DUP_NOTIFICATION, and click Search.
  4. If the profile option isn't set to TRUE, set it to TRUE.
