How do I create an organization?

To create resource organizations with in Oracle Sales, you have a few options on the steps to take.

Create an Organization by Editing an Existing One

In this example, you're editing an existing organization to add the Sales usage to it:

Sign in as a setup user.
In Setup and Maintenance, Sales offering, search for and select the Manage Internal Resource Organizations task.
In the Manage Internal Resource Organizations page, search for and select the organization you want to change. For example, search for Vision%.
In the Edit Organization page that lists usages associated with the organization, add a row to the table.
In the Organization Usages table, click in the empty row and select Sales Organization as the Usage.
Click Finish.

In this example, you're reusing an existing department by adding the Sales usage to it:

Sign in as a setup user.
In Setup and Maintenance, Sales offering, search for and select the Manage Internal Resource Organizations task.
In the Manage Internal Resource Organizations page, click Create.
In the Create Organization: Select Creation Method page, select the Create from Existing Department option.
Search for and select the organization.
Click Next.
In the Create Organization: Enter Basic Information page, click Actions > Add Row.
In the Organization Usages section of the screen, click in the empty row and select Sales Organization as the Usage.
Click Finish.

Sign in as a setup user.
In Setup and Maintenance, Sales offering, search for the Manage Internal Resource Organizations task.
In the Manage Internal Resource Organizations page, click Create.
In the Create Organization: Select Creation Method page, select the Create New Organization option.
Click Next.
Specify the name of the new organization and select Sales Organization as its usage.
Click Finish to save the new organization with sales usage.
