How do I create task layouts in Oracle Sales for Outlook?
To create task layouts in Oracle Sales for Outlook, it is recommended that you make these changes in a sandbox before publishing it, see Create and Activate Sandboxes. Ensure that you’ve enabled Application Composer for your sandbox.
Create Task Layouts
- Navigate to .
- Go to .
- Click
next to the Task Edit default layout.
- Enter the layout name, for example ‘AccountType’ and select it. This layout will be active, if the status is In progress.
- In the application layout, click Add Field.
- Search for and select AccountType.
- To configure the layout change when the status is In
progress.
- Click Advanced Criteria.
- Click Add Criteria.
- Select Status in the Field dropdown.
- Select Equal to in the Operator dropdown.
- Select In progress in the Value dropdown.
- Save your changes.
To create further layouts:
- In the Oracle Sales for Outlook tab, go to .
- Click
next to the Task Edit default layout.
- Enter the layout name, for example ‘Custom Layout 2’ and select it.
- In the application layout, click Add Field.
- Search for and select SubType.
- To configure the layout change when the status is
Complete.
- Go to .
- Select Status in the Field dropdown.
- Select Equal to in the Operator dropdown.
- Select Complete in the Value dropdown.
- Save your changes.
Validate your Changes in Oracle Sales for Outlook
- In Outlook, select a mail and open Oracle Sales for Outlook plug-in.
- Sign in to Oracle Sales.
- Go to .
- Select In progress in Status. 'Custom Layout 1' should be displayed.
- Select Complete in Status. 'Custom Layout 2' should be displayed.
