What generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) features are integrated with Sales?

Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) is the name given to a subset of artificial intelligence (AI) tools from Oracle that have developed the ability to rapidly create content in response to text prompts. Gen AI is a fully managed Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) service that provides a set of the latest large language models (LLMs) that cover a wide range of use cases for text generation and summarization.

Note: Gen AI for Sales features are currently controlled by promotion codes. To get a promotion code, go to the Sales forum on Oracle Customer Connect or raise a service request on My Oracle Support. Use the Opt In UI to enable these Gen AI for Sales features.

LMMs are machine learning models that can comprehend and generate human language text by analyzing massive data sets of language. Gen AI content can range from short and simple to very long and complex data that can help salespeople boost their productivity when collaborating with their customers and knowledge partners. However, LLM's have the propensity to conjure up text that isn't realistic and sometimes might provide misinformation. Mistakes happen when language models interpret inaccurate information so it's important that content generated by LLM is thoroughly reviewed before using it for customer communication or other activities.

Once your organization identifies the information to extract from documents, sales administrators can specify the prompt and format to automate the generation of content. The key to extract is in the prompt used.

The feature uses a prompt template that specifies the input parameters to include in your outreach message and the tone of how you want to deliver the message in the email. For example, if a customer is available for a discovery call, the Gen AI process can automatically generate email content using the context of the sales process step to send an email reply on your behalf. This feature saves time by assisting you with the follow-up process for collaborating with your prospects and customers based on a suitable email reply template.
