What's Guidance and how do I enable it?
Guidance is a feature in Oracle Sales for Redwood that lets a sales organization model different work flows for different sales situations.
The new Sales Orchestration uses intelligent agents to automate routine sales tasks and streamline seller workflows. For example, it can capture and summarize communications for future reference, identify new contacts associated with deals, and automatically update opportunity data. It also helps sellers create personalized, context-aware communications aligned with product-specific go-to-market strategies, enabling more targeted outreach, higher productivity, and faster deal progression.
You can still use Guidance to manually model different sales flows. The new Sales Orchestration respects the rules you build.
Guidance lets you manually recommended steps for your sales organization to follow when qualifying sales leads from different lead sources, or when progressing opportunities based on product, or opportunity type, and so on. For each guidance stage, you can specify step sequences with logical branches to perform tasks such as set up a appointment, trigger an automation, or take an action best suited for a sales situation.
Guidance can also be used to provide automated steps that take actions behind the scenes and follow up when things don't go as planned. For example, you can automatically send a follow-up email if a customer doesn't respond when a salesperson contacts them. Guidance steps that require salespeople to take action appear on the Guidance panel in opportunity and lead overview pages. The panel gets displayed only if there's an active guidance running on that specific record. In addition, a guidance can create tasks and appointments to support manual steps.
