How To View Renewal Opportunities

Oracle CPQ checks for subscriptions that are due to expire soon and automatically creates opportunities of type 'renewal'. You can see them in the Opportunities list of the sales application.

Here are the steps to see the renewal opportunities:

  1. Navigate to Sales > Opportunities.

    On the landing page, the Opportunity Type column indicates 'renewal' against the renewal opportunities that have been populated from Oracle CPQ.

  2. Click a renewal opportunity to identify the revenue lines that are due for renewal.

    In the Details page, under Products, the Revenue Type Category indicates if the revenue lines are Renew, New or Expansion. You can also distinguish new and renewal pipeline forecasts as separate categories for tracking and managing the sales forecasts based on the revenue type category values.

Note: You can create renewal opportunities manually as well. When creating an opportunity, select Renewal from the Opportunity Type drop-down list. The other opportunity types you can create are New and Expansion.Create an Expansion opportunity when a customer wants to buy more products or expand services in their regular subscriptions.
